Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021 as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering everything including NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses as well as space tourism. Kristin, the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as an avid space fan has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She worked for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. The reporter also reported on the 2020 presidential campaign and the efforts of two administrations to combat the coronavirus. In addition, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Biden frequently. This included a secret visit to Afghanistan. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in creating documentary films for corporate clients which included Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their 3-year-old daughter.
